On February 15, 2026, CCPRF and the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications Alumni Association (BUPT Alumni Association) jointly hosted a delightful Wine Tasting Event.
The evening was led by Feng Yan, a Vintage Conservatory member and holder of the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines. In a relaxed and engaging atmosphere, participants explored the fascinating world of wine through both knowledge sharing and guided tasting.
What We Discovered
Guests learned about the differences between Old World and New World wines, explored renowned grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Corvina, and discovered how terroir — including climate, soil, and sunlight — shapes the unique character of every bottle. The session highlighted how wine is a reflection of both nature and craftsmanship.
Tasting & Technique
The evening also included practical wine tasting and serving techniques, from proper pouring etiquette to evaluating aroma, appearance, taste, and finish.
